About This Campaign

LIFE-GIVING LEMONADE stand

Kids, here’s what to do…
•Pick a date in July to hold your Life-Giving Lemonade stand

•Sell, sell, sell! Feel free to add cookies, brownies, or any other treats to enhance your sales

•At the end of the day, total your sales, give the $ to you parents, and ask them to make a credit card payment in the same amount at this campaign site. If they prefer they can also write a check and mail it to Wine to Water. Customers can also make direct donations at the campaign site.

With just a little knowledge, you can help educate your customers about the water crisis and how their donation is Giving Life…
•1 out of 10 people don’t have access to clean water
•Around the world, more than 400 million days of school are lost every year because children are sick from bad water
•$10 can provide clean water for 10 kids for 1 year
•Wine to Water works with local people around the world to provide wells and filters so people have clean water to drink

Wine To Water

Campaign to Support Wine To Water

We're a small team based in Boone, NC, who believes ordinary people, in community, can make an extraordinary difference in the world.  This movement began in 2004 when our founder, Doc Hendley, while bartending in Raleigh, NC, learned about the world’s water crisis.  Once captured by the cause, Doc felt the need to do something about it.  So, he did. He did what he knew best…pour some wine, beer, and spirits, play some music, and have a great time with friends. When it was all said and done, a few thousand dollars was raised due to the generosity of the community.  With some money in hand, Doc soon found himself in Darfur, in the midst of a war, working to provide clean water to those who were in desperate need in desperate times.  Thus, Wine To Water was born.
