Wine to Water TAMU Chapter Annual Filter Build

Wine to Water TAMU Chapter Annual Filter Build

About This Campaign

Howdy! Last year, Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the coasts of Texas. Many cities were impacted greatly by the hurricane causing thousands of people to lose electricity as well as access to clean water. Wine to Water sent our student chapter 200 Sawyer water filters so we could get them to those who were impacted by the hurricane and lost access to clean water. In order to thank them and repay them for sending us these filters, which allowed us to help those in need locally, we set a goal for ourselves to raise enough money to host a filter build to replenish their stock of filters so when the next emergency happens they are prepared. We reached our goal and hosted our filter build! This year our hope is to raise even more money and make this filter build an annual event. Please help support us in our goal of raising enough money to host a filter build to show our gratitude for this organization and the amazing work they do.

Wine To Water

Campaign to Support Wine To Water

We're a small team based in Boone, NC, who believes ordinary people, in community, can make an extraordinary difference in the world.  This movement began in 2004 when our founder, Doc Hendley, while bartending in Raleigh, NC, learned about the world’s water crisis.  Once captured by the cause, Doc felt the need to do something about it.  So, he did. He did what he knew best…pour some wine, beer, and spirits, play some music, and have a great time with friends. When it was all said and done, a few thousand dollars was raised due to the generosity of the community.  With some money in hand, Doc soon found himself in Darfur, in the midst of a war, working to provide clean water to those who were in desperate need in desperate times.  Thus, Wine To Water was born.
